Special meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Homer held in the board room of the Town Hall Building on Friday, June 8th, 2012, was called to order by Supervisor Frederick J. Forbes at 12:15 p.m.

Liability Insurance proposals – Supervisor Forbes led a discussion of the two liability insurance proposals received, one from the current insurance carrier, Reagan Agency, Marcellus, and the other from First Niagara Risk Management, Syracuse.
On motion by Councilman Young, seconded by Councilman Williams and carried unanimously: RESOLVED: that the proposal by First Niagara Risk Management for liability insurance coverage for the Town for one year at a cost of $25,629.14 hereby be accepted, on the advice of Dan Gustafson, insurance advisor to the Town Board.
Hydro-fracking committee – There was also discussion about appointing additional people to the hydro-fracking committee.
On motion by Supervisor Forbes, seconded by Councilman Young and carried unanimously: RESOLVED: that, on the advice of the Town Attorney, the chair of the committee on hydro-fracking should not be a gas lease holder.
Attorney Snyder asked each Board member to sign the stipulation and settlement on the Ryan assessment case.
Check return fee – On motion by Supervisor Forbes, seconded by Councilman Young and carried unanimously: RESOLVED: that the Town hereby establishes a fee of $25.00 for any returned check plus any bank charges that are not covered by that fee.
